Internal Timber Sales Executive

We are looking for a talented and assertive Inside Sales Executive that thrives in an active team environment. You must be comfortable on the phone, working with departmental teams, maintaining account customers, generating interest, handling end to end aspects of sales and supporting the sales team.

Role
  • To process quotes, orders, and handle queries in an efficient and proactive manner.
  • Selling rough sawn and machined timber predominantly to existing accounts but also establishing relationships with new customers, achieved mainly by phone, and working in an efficient way to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Principally desk based but will require partial time checking/managing stock in the storage buildings.
  • Full systems training would be provided with ongoing training to ensure successful integration into the business.
Candidate
  • An excellent communicator with commitment to providing a professional and polite customer service.
  • High level of accuracy in numeracy.
  • Sound IT knowledge including MS Office programmes and CRM systems.
  • Proven timber sales experience would be advantageous.

This role requires high degree of numerical, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Trainee Office Clerk

We are pleased to be in a position to offer this excellent opportunity to join our Admin team.

Role

This is a varied and practical role, perfect for someone who thrives in a team environment, willing to learn and enjoys working with numbers. You'll be based in a fast-paced admin office, supporting a wide range of business functions.

Full training will be provided across all areas, with opportunities to grow as your experience builds.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Filing, photocopying, scanning and other general administrative tasks
  • Handling incoming calls and managing a telephone switchboard
  • Supporting sales and purchase processes
  • Learning sales invoice and purchase invoice processes
  • Calculating specifications using different units of measure
  • Contributing to general housekeeping to ensure a well-organised office
Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Is confident on the phone and enjoys customer interaction
  • Is comfortable working with numbers and able to calculate using different units of measure
  • Has strong attention to detail, particularly when working with invoices and figures
  • Is computer literate - experience with Excel, Sage, or Bistrack is a bonus but not essential
  • Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths C (Grade 5) or above
  • Is organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Shows initiative and picks up new systems and processes quickly
  • Is a team player, ready to support others and take on new challenges
